I said about an earlier book that I was still looking for a practical guide for church finances, and I had not found it yet. Well. I found it, in part at least. This is an excellent text on the managing role of ministry, particularly for ordained clergy in parish ministry. It is in essence a seminary text book on managing a church, everything from committee structures to facilities management, to managing the finances of a church. It takes some of the best basic management practices from business and applies them well to a congregation, through the eyes of a long-term pastor.
Frankly, this has been one of the most important reads for me in a long time.
